Chambres d’hôtes & Gîtes
Domaine Le Haut Verger
Under French law, only the French text of our general terms and conditions is valid. What follows is a translation.
Application The general conditions apply to every stay at Domaine Le Haut Verger, unless otherwise agreed in written form and signed by the owner Mr J.M.T. van Velsen.
Duration of stay The stay in our chambres d’hôtes or gîtes is only possible for tourist purposes, with a limited duration. The customer cannot rely on any right to perpetuate his stay.
Reservation and (down) payment If you want to make a reservation, you can send us an e-mail or call us. We will send you as soon as possible a booking form by e-mail. After receiving it back from you, and if the reservation can be honoured, we will send you an e-mail with the invoice and any further information.
All our rates are in euros.
Within 14 days the deposit of 50% of the rent must have been transferred to our bank account. As soon as we have received the deposit, we will send you an acknowledgment of receipt of the deposit and also the booking confirmation, after which the agreement is valid.
The remaining amount (50%) must have been paid no later than 6 weeks before your arrival date. If the payment is not on our bank account within 6 weeks before your arrival date, we are allowed to cancel the reservation. In that case, 50% of the amount already received by us will be refunded to you.
If the reservation takes place within 6 weeks before your departure, the entire amount of rent must be paid in one go, within 8 days or as soon as possible after booking. Again, the conditions as described above are applicable.
Payments You must transfer the (down) payment according to the information on the invoice you will receive.
Accuracy data The reservation form must be filled in truthfully. You are responsible for the correctness of the data or for passing on changes in this data. You must check the booking confirmation that you receive from us and if there should be any error, you must inform us within 7 days. Changing data is only possible in written form.
Cancellation by guest(s) Cancellation of the reservation must be done in written form by e-mail or by registered mail. You will receive a written confirmation from us via e-mail on the day that we receive your cancellation, whereupon it enters into force. In case of cancellation 6 weeks (or more) before arrival, the amount you have paid in advance (50% of the total rent) minus 50 euro administration costs will be refunded to you. If we have received the cancellation between 6 and 2 weeks before your arrival, 50% of the total rent will be refunded. If cancelled in the period of 2 weeks before arrival no refund will be made. If during your stay you are forced to leave earlier or no longer wish to make use of your accommodation, you are not entitled to a refund of the payment.
Changes and cancellation by Domaine Le Haut Verger In those cases that we ourselves have to make a change in the booking or cancel your stay, you will be informed as soon as possible. If you wish, we will try to arrange an equivalent alternative for you. Except for a possible additional charge, of course no additional costs will be charged for this. If you do not wish to make use of this possibility or you do not wish to make use of the offered alternative, the full amount already paid will be refunded immediately. After this, the contract is declared dissolved and Domaine Le Haut Verger can no longer be held liable.
Arrival and departure On the day of arrival you are welcome at Domaine Le Haut Verger from 16:00 h onwards. On the day of departure you are requested to leave the accommodation before 10:00 h. If you would like a different arrival time or departure time than mentioned above, please contact us.
In case of an (un)planned late arrival (after 19:00 h), you must inform us.
If it concerns a short stay and you did not arrive before 19:00 h without informing us of a later arrival time, the contract is considered to be non-closed. We can then have the room or gîte. The deposit is not refunded in this case.
Accomodations Gîtes: The gîtes are fully furnished, including bed, bath and kitchen linen, which is changed once a week. In July and August, the gîtes are only rented out per week, in principle from Saturday to Saturday. There are mandatory final cleaning costs. We ask you to leave the gîte as you found it, which means that you put your waste in the appropriate containers, that crockery and kitchenware are clean in the cupboards and that all the furniture is put back in its original place.
Chambres d’hôtes: The chambres d’hôtes are rented per night on the basis of two persons including a full breakfast. For people who stay alone we offer a discount of 10 euros per night, except for the Chambre de Martha.
Number of people using the accommodation The number of people staying in one of our accommodations may not exceed the number of sleeping places. Persons other than those mentioned on the booking form are not entitled to use the accommodation, except with the express permission of the owner of Domaine Le Haut Verger. In the event that the maximum number of persons is exceeded without prior permission, we reserve the right to withdraw the booking, even on arrival. In that case you are not entitled to a refund.
Your responsibility All guests are expected to use the accommodation and everything that goes with it normally and to leave it in the state as found at the start of the stay. We appreciate it if you notify us immediately in case of damage.
You are expected to respect the calm at Le Haut Verger and the tranquillity of the other guests.
What can you expect from us? The accommodation will be delivered clean and tidy to you. If you still find items that are not what you expect or that are broken or dirty, please report it to us. We will fix it as soon as possible.
Smoking All our accommodations are non-smoking. Smoking outside is only allowed if you are not bothering others.
Pets Pets are not allowed.
Finally French law is applicable and any disputes must be submitted to the Tribunal Commercial.
